Naema’s Office is Bleeding

 Working from archival family photographs, this body of work grafts Disney characters onto the architecture of inherited memory. The photo album — usually a private, sentimental object — becomes a stage for cartoon logic, producing images that are at once intimate and absurd. The work asks what happens when the iconography of childhood entertainment infiltrates the iconography of family history, and whether either can be taken at face value afterward.
